About Aberdyfi

Aberdyfi, the coastal village that has it all!

Sitting in mid Wales, at the mouth of the Dyfi estuary, this beautiful seaside village combines the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park with all the delights of a coastal holiday.

Aberdyfi really has something for everyone - a fantastic family friendly beach (with stretches that are dog-free and dog friendly - all year round), sandy dunes to explore, a pier for crabbing (or jumping off at high tide if you're brave!), water sports such as SUP boarding and sailing and a range of boutique shops and eateries to suit all tastes, including four pubs and bars.  Coast bistro and the Harbour kitchen are great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or try the Penhellig Arms to relax by the fire after a hard day's walking in the hills above the village.

Location

Whether you arrive by car or train, you can be sure that your journey will be marked by incredible scenery.  The train journey through the Dyfi valley, one of only 280 UNESCO biospheres in the world, is absolutely glorious.

With two train stations, Aberdyfi is great for a family holiday or a weekend getaway - there are even direct trains from Birmingham.  It is an excellent base from which to explore Snowdonia and the Cambrian coast.
